Damon is a new concept in treating malpositioned teeth with vestibulary braces. The final result is a perffect smile and an improvement in the facial semblance of the pacient. It does not need additional devices for maxillary expansion and the forces are sensible to the biological adjustment of the tissue involved.
The major advantage is selfligation of the brackets, thus eliminating the necessity of elastic ligatures which loose their strength in time. Another advantage is the improved elastic memory of the high-tech archwires that exert a faster movement to the teeth with few additional adjustments.
All these features improve the efficiency of the system, offering a fast treatment, fewer and shorter sessions, comfort for the pacient: less irritation, the brackets are smaller, easy to clean and bare, with exceptional results.
According to some late studies that compared the Damon device with classic systems, it has been proven that the Damon system is superior and will soon substitute the old orthodontic braces.
